Gov. Bevin appoints judge-executive for Fayette County

Will serve through November 2018 election

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 20, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin today appointed Thomas P. Dupree, Jr. as Fayette County judge-executive.

Dupree has more than 30 years experience in the securities industry, currently serving as an investment advisor with Dupree Financial Group, which he founded in 2003.

He also hosts the Tom Dupree Show on AM 630 WLAP radio in Lexington. He and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Lexington and have two children.

Dupree will serve until the position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2018 midterm election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
