Covington city manager resigns, interim city manager named

Search begins for permanent replacement

COVINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2017) — The Covington City Commission voted on Tuesday to accept the resignation of City Manager Larry Klein and unanimously approved the appointment of Covington resident and attorney, Loren Wolff, to serve as interim city manager, effective immediately.

Wolff is a partner in The Wolff Law Firm and serves as the vice chair of the board of directors for The Center for Great Neighborhoods, a Covington growth catalyst organization. She also served as a special assistance to the mayor of Indianapolis.

Covington is Kentucky’s fifth largest city with a population of approximately 40,000 and the second largest in the Greater Cincinnati area. The city will immediately begin a national search for a permanent city manager.
