Gov. Bevin makes appointment to Kentucky Housing Corporation board of directors

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin today appointed William E. Summers to the Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) board of directors.

Summers, of Louisville, is a banker. Summers has been designated as chairman of the board and will serve for a term expiring Oct. 30, 2020. He will represent professional experience in auditing, financial accounting, municipal bond financing or investment banking.

KHC was created by the General Assembly in 1972 to provide affordable housing opportunities. As a self-supporting public corporation, KHC offers lower-than-market rate home mortgages, housing production financing, homeownership education/counseling, rental assistance, housing rehabilitation and supportive housing programs for special needs populations.
