Artists’ submissions being accepted for Governor’s Derby Exhibit

(Feb. 23, 2017) — The Kentucky Arts Council is accepting artists’ submissions through March 9 for the Governor’s Derby Exhibit. The exhibit, which is associated with the annual Governor’s Derby Celebration, is open to all Kentucky artists who are 18 years of age or older. This year’s exhibit theme is “Kentucky Stories.”

The annual show is coordinated by the arts council on behalf of Gov. Matt Bevin and First Lady Glenna Bevin.

All submissions must be original work by the artist, two-dimensional and ready to hang. The overall dimensions, including frame, should not exceed 36 inches in width.
