Franklin pharmaceutical company plans $2.5M investment, will create 10 jobs

Wants to create packaging hub

FRANKLIN, Ky. (Feb. 23, 2017) — PuraCap Laboratories LCC, which in 2016 acquired the assets of Franklin-based Blu Pharmaceuticals, is considering a $2.5 million investment to add packaging suites to its 180,000-square foot facility to turn it into its global distribution and packaging hub.

The plan would create 10 initial jobs, with a target of 30 jobs within two years.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $160,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program.

Franklin business plans to expand operations

Traughber Mechanical Services, Inc., a family-owned business specializing in fabricated steel, industrial piping and ductwork and industrial maintenance support, is considering expanding its Franklin operations by adding office and production space and upgrading equipment. The $579,320 investment would create 10 jobs.

KEDFA preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $120,000.
