McConnell says President Trump’s address to Congress was ‘positive and uplifting’

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) made the following remarks regarding President Donald Trump’s address to a Joint Session of Congress:

“Well it was positive and uplifting and, I think, designed to unify America behind the new Administration and the new direction we’re trying to take. I thought the President did a terrific job.”

“We already know the President is moving on a deregulatory agenda that will have a huge impact on our state. The Obama regulations destroyed the coal industry, and this Administration is taking a new direction and we think this is exactly what America needs to get growing again, Kentucky needs it to get growing again.”
