Region 5 winners announced for Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge

Finals are April 29 in Lexington

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (April 13, 2017) — Region five winners were announced today at the University of Pikeville for the Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge (LGEC).

Winning teams were Simply Tiny, from Lee County High School, and Clasp, from Wolfe County High School.

At the LGEC Finals, scheduled for April 29 at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics in Lexington, the 10 finalist teams will compete for $80,000 in scholarships. The top three teams will split the scholarship funding, which can be used at any post-secondary institution in Kentucky (e.g., four-year college, software bootcamp).
