Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Hart-Supported Living Council

Nine appointments named

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 18, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin today made appointments to the Hart-Supported Living Council.

Appointed:

  • Angela R. Rodgers, of Liberty, is a teacher. She will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • Dr. Shambra L. Mulder, of Lexington, is a licensed psychologist. She will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • Paul Dee Geouge III, of Winchester, is retired. He will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • Laureen Mary Vassil, of Lexington, is a registered nurse. She will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.

Reappointed:

  • Debra S. Sharon, of Lexington, is the director of education and an assistive technology specialist at Bluegrass Technology Center. She will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • Jean Ann Isaacs, of Lexington, is an assistant for Samuel Forrest Isaacs via Supported Living. She will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • David H. Allgood, of Louisville, is the director of advocacy at the Center for Accessible Living. He will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • Jason P. Jones, of Lexington, is a project liaison with the University of Kentucky Human Development Institute. He will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.
  • Randall E. Brewer, of Winchester, is retired. He will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2019.

The Hart-Supported Living Council assists Kentuckians with disabilities with funds for supports so they can live in their homes and communities and avoid institutionalization. It is comprised of 11 members—9 gubernatorial appointees plus 2 ex-officio members (the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and the executive director of the Kentucky Housing Corporation, or their designees).
