Kentucky Book Fair moving to Lexington, after 35 years in Frankfort

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 22, 2017) — The Kentucky Book Fair, which draws about 3,500 readers and 170 local and national authors, will move to Lexington this year, after 35 years in Frankfort.

Kentucky Book FairThe fair is usually held at the Frankfort Convention Center, which is being demolished. It will be held this year on Nov. 18 at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park. The event also includes the 7th Annual KBF Kids Day, on Nov. 17.

KBF was created by former State Journal Editor Carl West in 1981. West died in 2016.

The official catalog for the event will be available in the fall.
