LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 22, 2017) — Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL player Tim Tebow will be in Lexington from Thursday to Sunday as part of the Columbia Fireflies Class A baseball team facing the Lexington Legends.

The Fireflies have been drawing large crowds since Tebow joined the team. Reports say road attendance is up between 80 to 120 percent at games in which Tebow plays. He has been credited with $44,200 in additional sales per night at road stadiums.

Tebow is batting .230 with three home runs and 14 RBIs for the Fireflies in 35 games.

Tebow was on two national championship football teams at the University of Florida. He played in the NFL from 2010-12.

This will be his first trip to Lexington as a professional baseball player.
