LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 2, 2012) — Dr. Pearse Lyons, Alltech’s president and founder, officially unveiled the new Lyons Farm brand during the company’s 28th Annual International Symposium in May.
Lyons Farm will offer consumers natural, high-quality foods. Since the announcement, the new brand has been well received, with stores and restaurants across Kentucky adding Lyons Farm to shelves and menus. With the launch of the new website, www.lyonsfarm.com, consumers can learn more about Lyons Farm and order products without having to head for the Bluegrass state.
The website offers Lyons Farm Beef, and Lyons Farm Chicken will be available this summer. New products will be added to the site as the brand expands its offerings.
Lyons Farm’s chicken and beef are produced using Alltech’s natural nutritional feeding programs, which have been developed through more than 30 years of research in animal nutrition. The result is consistent, premium-quality meat that is rich in antioxidants and nutrients while remaining free from additives such as growth-promoting hormones and antibiotics.
Studies conducted on beef produced using Alltech’s feeding programs report that oxidation values are 50 percent lower, the pH is lower, the mineral status is improved, and there is greater moisture in the beef.
