Jimmy Workman promoted to assistant VP at Community Trust Bank

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (June 16, 2017) — Jimmy Workman has been promoted to assistant vice president at Community Trust Bank, Mark A. Gooch, president and CEO, announced on Friday.

Workman has worked for Community Trust Bank for four years.  He is the Vendor Risk Management Officer in the Corporate Information Security Department.  His responsibilities include assessing and ensuring that vendor contracting and due-diligence controls are adhered to throughout the organization and leads Community Trust’s efforts to assess vendor risk and regulatory compliance with applicable laws and regulations.  His office is located at the Community Trust Bank Operations Center in Pikeville, Ky.

Workman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky.  He graduated from Point Pleasant High School in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.  His certifications include Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (Compliance Education Institute) and Certified Banking Vendor Manager (SBS Institute).

Workman has both worked and volunteered at the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce; he has served on both the Chamber’s Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Mr. Workman resides in Pikeville.
