Techfest Louisville announces keynote speakers for annual event

Aug. 16-17

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 6, 2017) — The Technology Association of Louisville Kentucky (TALK) has announced that Ron Gula, founder of Gula Tech Ventures and Tenable Network Security, and Ari Huczkowski, chief innovation evangelist of Espoo Innovation Garden, the Northern Europe innovation hub based just outside Helsinki, Finland, will the keynote speakers for Techfest Louisville, from Aug. 16-17 at the Pendennis Club.

9k=Techfest Louisville 2017 is an annual event that focuses on entrepreneurs, tech professionals and C-suite types needing to learn more about today’s tech trends, case studies of interest and how-to scenarios. It is designed for professionals and higher education students interested in learning more about technologies that impact the world.

Gula will discuss the nation’s security issues and his desire to invest in more security-related ventures. He will look at the ongoing rebirths of incident response, risk management and resilient systems and show how penetration testers, incident responders and auditors all work on the same problem, but are often at odds with each other, use different tools and don’t speak the same language. He will also discuss some of the big questions facing the industry such as how to measure risk and how the industry should react to cloud computing.

Huczkowski will speak on “Building Northern Europe’s Largest Innovation Hub: Espoo Innovation Garden,” explaining the convergent paths toward an innovation ecosystem and will open dialogue about those European paths to companies in Louisville looking for expansion from software distribution platforms to manufactured goods and other types of services. A separate smaller roundtable session for startups will be available.

Other speakers will host panel discussions, explain case scenarios and case studies and show tech trends.
