Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 2, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Brandy McDowell, Angel Wossum and Michael Grise have been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy.

  • Brandy McDowell, of Paducah, is a massage therapist and owner of B’Still Massage. Mrs. McDowell will represent licensed massage therapists and serve for a term expiring July 16, 2019. 
  • Angel Wossum, of Lexington, is an occupational massage therapist and manager at Elements Massage. Mrs. Wossum will represent licensed massage therapists and serve for a term expiring July 16, 2020.
  • Michael Grise, of Hopkinsville, is a self-employed massage therapist. Mr. Grise will represent licensed massage therapists and serve for a term expiring July 16, 2020.

The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Massage Therapy is made up of seven gubernatorial appointees.  The Board is charged with creating guidelines and regulations for massage therapy licensure.  The Board is also responsible for evaluating qualifications of all licensure applicants.
