LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 5, 2017) – Rupp Arena will host its second Job Fair on Sept. 16 to staff for the 2017-18 event season. Over 200 seasonal positions are currently available in departments such as security, guest services, concessions, box office and parking.
According to Carl Hall, director of Arena Management, “This season is going to be busy with a full roster of events ranging from concerts, family events and sports. We are currently looking for reliable individuals who are interested in seasonal work in a team environment. If you are hard-working, have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced and friendly atmosphere, we invite you to come explore the opportunities at the job fair and become part of the Rupp family!”
“This is a great opportunity for energetic individuals to supplement their current income, because the event schedule is somewhat sporadic and many of the events take place in the evening, outside regular business hours,” Hall continued. “Many of our part-time seasonal workers are college students, teachers, active/retired first responders, retired professionals and others who enjoy being part of the energy and excitement of live entertainment and also enjoy that extra paycheck for padding the vacation fund or holiday expenses.”
The Rupp Arena Job Fair will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Rupp Arena, High Street entrance. Applicants must be 20 years or older and may be subject to a background check and a drug test.
