Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions

Appointments are to the board of directors at two KCTCS colleges

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 3, 2017) – Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Jean Allison Cherry, Marshall Todd, Phillip D. Duncan, Gary Wayne Napier and Jonathan E. Arnett have been appointed to the Somerset Community College Board of Directors.

  • Dr. Jean Allison Cherry, of Somerset, is a physician. She will serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2022.
  • Marshall Todd, of Nancy, is a residential contractor. He will serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2022.
  • Phillip D. Duncan, of Monticello, is a plant manager with East Kentucky Power Cooperative. He will serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2018.
  • Gary Wayne Napier, of London, is an attorney. He will serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2023.
  • Jonathan E. Arnett, of Somerset, is president and CEO of Southern Petroleum. He will serve for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2023.

Somerset Community College, located in Pulaski County, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions institutions of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).

Jane S. Hendrickson and Sandra L. Hogg have been appointed to the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

  • Jane S. Hendrickson, of Harlan, is a retired court reporter and legal secretary. She will serve for a term expiring Jan. 15, 2023.
  • Sandra L. Hogg, of Neon, is health and wellness lead for the Kentucky Valley Education Cooperative. She will serve for a term expiring Jan. 15, 2023.

Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, located in Harlan County, is one of 16 two-year, open-admissions institutions of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS).
