KAED announces Outstanding Service Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Nov. 14, 2017) — The Kentucky Association for Economic Development (KAED) held its fall conference on Nov. 8-9 at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Ky.

Each year, the KAED Foundation presents the KAED Outstanding Service Award in honor of the KIDC Founders. KAED members qualify for the award by earning points through their continuing education efforts and involvement in organizations promoting the economic development of professionals.

The purpose of this initiative is to stimulate among KAED members collective commitment to the continuous improvement of economic development professionals statewide and to encourage participation in KAED endeavors.

This award recognizes those members who have participated in KAED activities, tracked their participation and achieved a minimum of 20 points. All who have met the Outstanding Service Award requirements are recognized and honored at the KAED fall conference.

The recipients of the 2017 KAED Outstanding Service Award in Honor of the KIDC Founders are:

• Libby Adams, Executive Director, Shelby County Industrial & Development Foundation

• Jody Lassiter, President & CEO, Develop Danville

• Brad Sowden, Economic Development Project Manager, LG&E and KU
