Venture Connectors announces new officers and directors for 2018

Tendai Charasika, CEO of SuperFanU, has been named chairman of the region’s premier entrepreneur and investor forum.

Other new members of the executive committee are: president, Larry Horn, president of Great American Specialty Fasteners and CEO of Derby City Cut & Sew; and president-elect, John Williamson, founder and CEO of RCM Brain.

Outgoing chair Suzanne Bergmeister, entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of Louisville College of Business, has rolled off the board after 12 years of service in various leadership positions. She was honored at the organization’s December luncheon.

“It’s an honor and privilege to serve as president of Venture Connectors,” Horn said. “I look forward to creating synergies between organizations that will bring the entrepreneurial ecosystem closer. This will create tremendous value for our members, stakeholders and the community.”

New directors to the 22-member board include: Kevin Bauman, business development professional; Nathan Fort, partner at Fort Phelps; Demetrius Gray, founder of Weathercheck; and Caroline Hafele, manager of entrepreneur selection and growth for Endeavor Louisville. Officers serve two-year terms, and directors serve three-year terms.
