■ Kurt Jefferson has been named dean of graduate studies at Spalding University. He comes to the position from Westminster College in Missouri, where was assistant dean for global initiatives.
■ David Blackwell has been named provost for the University of Kentucky. Blackwell previously served as dean of UK’s Gatton College of Business and Economics.
