COVINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 19, 2012) – Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR) today announced that it has extended its offer to purchase all outstanding shares of PharMerica Corporation (NYSE: PMC) common stock for $15.00 per share in cash to 5 p.m. EST on Jan. 27, 2012, unless further extended. The tender offer was previously scheduled to expire at 5 p.m. EST on Jan. 20, 2012. All other terms and conditions of the tender offer remain unchanged.
The depositary for the tender offer has advised that as of 5 p.m. EST on Jan.18, 2012, 2,574,128 shares of PharMerica common stock (including 499,141 shares subject to guarantees of delivery), representing approximately 8.8% of all outstanding shares, had been tendered into and not withdrawn from the tender offer.
