COVINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 20, 2018) — CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services (CTI), a multi-national, privately held, full-service contract research organization has announced the promotions of Todd Bonta and Shawna Bredek to director, Clinical Data Management and to senior director, Clinical Trials respectively.

As our business continues to expand, both will play critical roles in the leadership and development of their respective departments, and we look forward to seeing their future accomplishments.”
Todd Bonta – Director, Clinical Data Management
Todd began his career with CTI in the Data Management department in February 2003. Through the years Todd has taken the lead role in implementing a first class suite of Data Management SOPs, and was instrumental in the implementation of several data management solutions for our clients including Oracle Clinical, Medidata Rave and most recently OmniComm TrialMaster. Todd’s passion for Data Management is evident in his daily activities and interactions with others at CTI, and that passion has led him to be a very effective presenter to support the Business Development (BD) efforts, as he is often called upon to attend Bid Defenses and provide support to the BD group. Todd’s expertise is also recognized by his colleagues in the industry, evidenced by a recent request from OmniComm inviting Todd to be a featured speaker at their Innovation Forum in late 2017.
In his new role, Todd will continue to lead the Data Management team, mentor current and new employees in the department, support current clients and BD efforts to work with new clients, and continuously pursue solutions allowing CTI to offer sponsors the most effective, efficient systems for their clinical trials.
Shawna Bredek – Senior Director, Clinical Trials
Shawna began her career at CTI as a CRA in June 2002 after several years in the Phase 1 Industry. She quickly moved into the ranks of Study Management and since that time has been a leader in that department at CTI, with her most recent role as Director, Clinical Trials. Shawna has managed many clinical trials in her tenure at CTI, most recently leading large Phase 2 and 3 global programs as well as overseeing many of the new programs CTI has taken on in the recent few years in cell and gene therapy. Shawna has also participated in a number of bid defenses and capability presentations and is a true asset to the BD team in helping CTI to grow the backlog of new business.
Shawna will continue to act as a mentor to numerous members of the clinical team and will continue to serve in a leadership role overseeing large and complex clinical trials. She will also be involved as a Co-Chair for the Integration Team working to seamlessly integrate CTI and Eurotrials, a full-service contract research organization with strong local expertise in Europe and Latin America, that CTI acquired in late 2017
