KEDFA gives preliminary approval for travel agency to relocate headquarters to Louisville

Travel agency TTA, now doing business as ALTOUR, received preliminary approval Thursday by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority to relocate its regional headquarters to Louisville. The total investment for this relocation is $4.3 million.

The new headquarters will including accounting, human resources, technology professionals and travel agent support.

Total tax incentives approved: $350,000 for a project that will create jobs at an average wage of $36 per hour, with a projected job target of 20 jobs in 10 years.

Owl’s Head Alloys

Secondary aluminum recycler Owl’s Head Alloys received preliminary approval for a $2.5 million expansion in Bowling Green.

Owl’s Head Alloys processes over 200 million pounds of aluminum annually. The state-of-the-art aluminum recycling facility ships to primary mills all over the southeastern U.S. The project would include an expansion of the facility for an additional furnace.

Total tax incentives approved: $150,000 for a project that will create jobs at an average wage of $19 per hour, with a projected job target of 17 jobs in five years.

Michter’s Distillery

Michter’s Distillery received preliminary approval for a $17 million expansion in Springfield.

Michter’s produces a variety of whiskeys including single barrel ryes, small batch bourbons and single barrel bourbons. In recent years the company has seen a demand for its products steadily increase therefore it is considering the purchase of property to expand its storage capabilities for its products.

Total tax incentives approved: $400,000.
