Kentucky Craft Beer Festival returns to Elizabethtown June 16

KYCBFlogo2018ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (April 4, 2018) — Give 270 will host the 3rd annual Kentucky Craft Beer Festival from 3-8 p.m. June 16 in Elizabethtown at the historic Brown-Pusey House.

Specially-priced, first-chance tickets will go on sale this Thursday, April 5 at Presenting Sponsor Liquor Barn’s Pint Night from 5-9 p.m. at its Elizabethtown location in the Star-Lite Center at 1705 North Dixie Highway.

Festival goers at the annual event will be able to sample more than a dozen craft beers and meet some of the brewery representatives behind the products. Headlining this year’s expected line-up of up to twenty craft breweries are Presenting Breweries Flywheel Brewing of Elizabethtown and West Sixth Brewing of Lexington. All proceeds from the festival benefit Give 270, a local non-profit that helps fund unmet needs in Hardin, LaRue and Meade Counties.

“In its first two years, we’ve hosted a sell-out crowd and we anticipate the same great demand this year,” said Kenny Rambo, co-founder of Give 270 and the Kentucky Craft Beer Festival.

“The opening of Flywheel Brewing late last year here in Elizabethtown has only added to the area’s appeal for craft beer enthusiasts,” said Rambo. “We’re expecting another great event this year and are pleased to have the Elizabethtown Tourism Convention Bureau join our local brewery, Flywheel Brewing, West Sixth Brewing and Liquor Barn as our presenting sponsors.

Rambo said the signature fundraiser for Give 270 has helped the non-profit contribute more than $20,000 over the past two years to worthwhile organizations including Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland, The Community Health Clinic of Hardin and LaRue Counties and others.

As part of the festival, the Homebrewers of Hardin County will again host a live beer brewing demonstration and the second annual Hardin County Homebrew Competition judged by the professional brewers at the festival.

Also, local food trucks will be on site, selling a variety of fare.

Tickets will be available at kentuckycraftbeerfestival.com starting Friday April 6. General admission tickets are $35 and include a souvenir sampling glass and a tasting card to receive pours of craft beer. VIP tickets are $45 and include a sampling glass, tasting card, one-hour early admission and a souvenir T-shirt. Designated Driver admission is $10. A $5 early bird discount on general admission and VIP tickets is available until April 20.
