Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 4, 2018) – Gov. Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions:

Sherry Rene Whitehouse and DeAnna Brangers have been appointed as members of the State Board of Elections.

  • Sherry Rene Whitehouse, of Brooks, is the CEO of Whitehouse Solutions, LLC. She will represent the Democratic Party of Kentucky and will serve for a term expiring Sept. 15, 2018; and
  • DeAnna Brangers, of Prospect, is a community volunteer. She will represent the Republican Party of Kentucky and will serve for a term expiring April 1, 2020.

The State Board of Elections is an independent agency charged with administering the Commonwealth’s election laws, promulgating administrative regulations necessary to properly carry out its duties, supervising the registration and purgation of voters, appointing political party representatives to the 120 county boards of elections and certifying the official election results. The Board is comprised of seven members: Secretary of State (Chairperson), as well as three Governor-appointed members from both the Democratic and Republican parties.

Eric Martin Davis has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. 

  •  Dr. Eric Martin Davis, of Philpot, is a chiropractor. He will serve for a term expiring March 29, 2021.

The Kentucky State Board of Chiropractic Examiners regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of chiropractors within the Commonwealth.
