World Trade Center Kentucky announces trade mission to China to build partnerships in biotech industry

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 20, 2012) – The World Trade Center Kentucky announced that it will be heading up a trade mission to China focused on the Biotech Industry. In conjunction with the 4th International Exhibition on BioPharma, Biotechnology and Equipment of 2012, the Trade Mission is scheduled for May 4-12, 2012. According to Ying Juan Rogers, executive vice president with the World Trade Center Kentucky, “the Mission has been planned to allow Kentucky Biotech industries to explore opportunities to expand into the China market.”

Trade mission attendees will secure first-hand information and exposure to China’s biotech industry through pre-arranged meetings with local companies and distributors along with opportunities to network with members from the Chinese government. Mission visits include sites in Shanghai and Wuxi in addition to the Shen Zhen Biotech Expo.

The Shen Zhen Biotech Expo is recognized as China’s number one biotechnology show and provides the ideal platform for global companies to showcase their technological achievements, to exchange information, identify collaboration partners and explore business opportunities. Companies specializing in biologics and immunochemical, biotech specialties, medical and pharmaceutical applications, biotech equipment of laboratories, and biological pharmaceuticals and equipment will be presenting during the expo.
