LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Aug. 17, 2012) — Two of Greater Louisville Inc.’s upcoming Capitol Connection events, presented by KentuckyOne Health, will feature presentations by Kentucky representatives in Washington.
The Aug. 28 Capitol Connection will feature Congressman John Yarmuth, who will discuss some of the priority issues and answer attendee questions about what’s happening in the nation’s capital.
The Sept. 5 event will feature Sen. Rand Paul, fresh from his appearance as a speaker at the Republican National Convention. The self-described ‘constitutional conservative’ will speak to the 2012 presidential election, healthcare reform and the pending fiscal cliff.
Both events will be conducted at The Olmsted, beginning with networking at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon.
Capitol Connection events offer the business community access to legislative leaders, issues and information. As part of GLI’s ongoing advocacy efforts, guest speakers provide political insights at the local, state and federal levels.
