Elizabethtown Community and Technical College has unveiled a new educational training program designed to help meet the region’s growing needs in green construction. Intended to be developed as a work in progress, new students participating in the ECO House Project will contribute to the construction each semester, incorporating emerging technologies into the model house. The project is made possible by a group of area businesses and provides training in green construction technologies, professional development for college and high school faculty, and an opportunity for workers in the construction industry to learn more about state-of-the-art green construction technologies.
