Community Trust Bank names new Mount Sterling advisory board member

MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (June 11, 2018) — Jody Oney, Mount Sterling market president of Community Trust Bank, Inc., has named James Randall “Randy” Staton to the Community Trust Bank Advisory Board.

Staton is a native of Mt. Sterling-Montgomery County, Ky., and recently retired from Clark Energy as manager of system maintenance after 41 years of service. He managed reliability and restoration of electric services for 11 counties, managed three offices and the day-to-day activities of employees, and coordinated loss prevention of electrical services.

Staton is a graduate of Mount Sterling High School and attended Morehead State University. He serves as team lead for One Source Restoration which provides utility companies across the nation with additional storm response resources including damage assessment, wire down guards, base camps and logistic support. He is also an experienced home builder and land developer with a passion for restoring old homes into “like-new” homes.

Staton is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery County, a graduate and past board member of the Montgomery County Citizen’s Police Academy, a member of the Montgomery County Residential Rental Association, and a member of the Mount Sterling First Church of God.

He and his wife Becky are active in the Mount Sterling community and enjoy travel, golf and spending winters in Florida. He has two children, Michael Staton of Seattle, Wash. and Allison Lykins of Mount Sterling.
