Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky public university boards

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 27, 2018) — Gov. Matt Bevin today made the following appointments to Kentucky’s public university boards: 

Sanford Holbrook has been appointed as a member of the Morehead State University Board of Regents.  

  • Sanford Holbrook, of Mt. Olivet, is school superintendent for the Robertson County Board of Education. He will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024.  

Roger Reynolds has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky State University Board of Regents. 

  • Roger Reynolds, of Louisville, is a professional consultant, the president of both Sustainable Energy Solutions, LLC and The Reynolds Group, LLC. He will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024. 

Linda Gamblin Ball has been appointed as a member of the Western Kentucky University Board of Regents.  

  • Linda Gamblin Ball, of Lexington, is a community volunteer and business owner. She will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024.  

Virginia Bishop Gray has been appointed as a member of the Murray State University Board of Regents.  

  • Virginia Bishop Gray, of Hopkinsville, is manager of government relations for the Tennessee Valley Authority. She will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024.  

Richard Albert Boehne has been appointed as a member of the Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents. 

  • Richard Albert Boehne, of Newport, is the former chairman of the board of The E.W. Scripps Company and vice chair of The Associated Press. He will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024.  

Rachel Lee Webb has been appointed as a member of the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees.  

  • Rachel Lee Webb, of Shelbyville, is a substitute teacher for Shelby County Public Schools and formerly served on the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees as student body president. She will represent alumni and serve for a term expiring June 30, 2024.
