Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame to hold induction ceremony Sept. 7-8 in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame will hold its 2018 induction reception and dinner on Friday, Sept. 7 at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa in Lexington, Ky.

The dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. with a reception preceding the event. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased by visiting web site www.kyveterans.org to download invitation and RSVP.  There will be 30 Kentucky veterans inducted at ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.

The inductees are selected from nominations for their valorous military service to our country and for their combined military/civilian service to our community, state and nation. They will be awarded the Hall of Fame Medallion at the induction ceremony. 

Brig. Gen. Benjamin F. Adams III, the new commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, will be the keynote speaker at the dinner. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and Heather French Henry, former commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and Miss America 2000, will speak at the induction.
