A new start-up automotive supplier has announced plans to establish its manufacturing operations in Horse Cave.

Kentucky Chrome Works will manufacture decorative chrome plating and metal finishing services for the automotive and appliance industry. The company is leasing a 50,000-s.f. facility on five acres in Horse Cave and anticipates hiring 80 employees to staff the plant within two years.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority has preliminarily approved Kentucky Chrome Works for up to $750,000 in tax incentives through the Kentucky Industrial Development Act. The incentive can be earned over a 10-year period.

In addition, the Department for Local Government has approved a $780,660 Community Development Block Grant to the Hart County Industrial Authority for the benefit of Kentucky Chrome Works. The funds will be used to purchase multiple pieces of equipment.
