FRANKFORT, Ky.— Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
The Honorable Kenneth Harold Goff II has been appointed as Circuit Judge for the 46th Judicial Circuit, Division 2 of Kentucky.
- The Honorable Kenneth Harold Goff II, of Leitchfield, previously served as the District Judge for the 46th District. He will serve until this position is filled in accordance with the results of the November 2019 general election, pursuant to the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.
Section 118 of the Kentucky Constitution provides that vacancies in the office of judge of the Circuit Court are to be filled by the Governor from a list of three names submitted by the appropriate Judicial Nominating Commission.
John F. Bunnell has been appointed to the Commission on Fire Protection, Personnel, Standards and Education.
- John F. Bunnell, of Hardyville, is a banker. He will represent trustees of fire departments and serve for a term expiring July 16, 2020.
The Commission on Fire Protection, Personnel, Standards and Education is charged with strengthening, upgrading and improving the fire services for the citizens and industries within the Commonwealth through standardized education, training, communication and distribution of funds.
Barbara Kinder has been appointed to the Telehealth Board.
- Barbara Kinder, of Lexington, is a chief nursing officer. She will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2020.
The Telehealth Board was established in 2000 and is composed of 10 members, which consists of professionals in health care, technology, and government. The Board oversees the Telehealth Network, which was created to provide better access to medical specialists not available in some communities.
Eric A. Hagan has been appointed to the Kentucky Board of Licensure for
Long-Term Care Administrators.
- Eric A. Hagan, of Bowling Green, is a healthcare administrator. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 12, 2022.
The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Long-Term Care Administrators administers and enforces the statutory authority, and monitors the needs of the consuming public. The Board examines and licenses all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of Long-Term Care Administration. It recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality.
Darrell Lee Heckman has been appointed to the Board of Respiratory Care.
- Darrell Lee Heckman, of Lexington, is a retired attorney. He will represent citizens at-large and serve for a term expiring Oct. 31, 2021.
The Board of Respiratory Care consists of seven gubernatorial appointees. It is in charge of regulating respiratory care licenses and overseeing that all licensed respiratory care practitioners in Kentucky practice within the state’s code of conduct.
Joseph Ahrens Hayes has been appointed to the School Facilities Construction Commission.
- Joseph Ahrens Hayes, of Fort Mitchell, is an architect firm partner. He will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2024.
The School Facilities Construction Commission is composed of eight gubernatorial appointees. The Commission was created to help local school districts meet the construction and education technology needs of the Commonwealth.
