Gov. Bevin makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions 

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Matt Bevin has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

David Brandeis Tachau and Jennifer Kumari Tucker have been appointed as members of the Jefferson Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.

  • David Brandeis Tachau, of Louisville, is an attorney. He will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2022; and
  • Jennifer Kumari Tucker, of Louisville, is an audit leader. She will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2020.

The Jefferson Community and Technical College Nominating Commission is responsible for submitting a list of qualified applicants to the Governor when a vacancy occurs on the college’s Board of Directors. 

Mark Lee Burnett has been appointed as a member of the Agriculture Water Quality Authority.

  • Mark Lee Burnett, of Somerset, is a farmer and business owner. He will represent members at-large from agriculture operations and serve for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2022.

The Agriculture Water Quality Authority evaluates, develops and improves best-management practices in conservation plans, compliance plans and forest stewardship management plans. The Authority also establishes statewide and regional agriculture water quality plans and otherwise promote soil and water conservation activities that protect waters of the Commonwealth from the adverse impacts of agriculture operations within the Commonwealth.

Anne St. Aignan Muller and Lawrence W. Brandstetter have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Board of Architects.

  • Anne St. Aignan Muller, of Louisville, is an architect. She will serve for a term expiring Sept. 19, 2022; and
  • Lawrence W. Brandstetter, of Lexington, is an architect and businessman. He will serve for a term expiring Sept. 19, 2022.

The Kentucky Board of Architects serves to promote and protect the public’s health, safety and welfare and the built environment for human habitation through the regulation, examination and licensing of architects and certification of interior designers.

Diane B. Medley, Dr. Ronald L. Wright and Dr. Raymond M. Burse have been appointed as members of the Univeristy of Louisville Board of Trustees.

  • Diane B. Medley, of Louisville, is a CPA. She will serve for a term expiring Jan. 13, 2025; and
  • Dr. Ronald L. Wright, of Prospect, is a physician. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 13, 2020; and
  • Dr. Raymond M. Burse, of Prospect, is retired. He will serve for a term expiring Jan. 13, 2025.

The University of Louisville Board of Trustees is responsible for strategic planning and oversight of the president of the University.

Onyejindu Oleka, Dr. Brandon Kyle Wilson and Kristi P. Nelson have been appointed as members of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

  • Onyejindu Oleka, of Louisville, is a chief of staff for State Treasurer Allison Ball. He will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2024; and
  • Brandon Kyle Wilson, of Cunningham, is a farm manager. He will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2023; and
  • Kristi P. Nelson, of Union, is an attorney. She will serve for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2024.

The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education coordinates postsecondary and adult education in Kentucky.
