St. Matthews Street Festival to take place Aug. 3

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Chamber of St. Matthews and the City of St. Matthews will present the 8th annual St. Matthew Street Festival this Saturday, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Frankfort Avenue from Lexington Road to Bauer Ave.

This family-friendly festival draws a crowd of over 10,000 attendees and features multiple bands/artists on its Mainstage beginning around 11 a.m. The artists/bands slated to perform are Derick Howard “The One Man Band”, Trippin Roots, Revival, Freddy and the Cruegers, All or Nothing, The Rumors and Wax Factory. The Kids Zone, sponsored by St. Matthews Baptist Church, will have games, activities, inflatables and vendors that provide services for children and their families. The area is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The festival will also feature a vendors section that will include booths for local businesses and non-profits. These booths will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Food vendors and bars will open at 11 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Vendor space is available.

New this year, the St. Matthews Street Festival is partnering with Maker’s Mark to give you a one of a kind, VIP experience right on the street. Everyone with a ticket will receive one signature Maker’s Mark cocktail in a specialty cup, a photo opportunity that will be put inside a Maker’s Mark bottle to be dipped on the street. Tickets will be available day of if any remain. .
