Ford to invest $550M at its Louisville Assembly Plant

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Ford Motor Co. announced Thursday it will invest $550 million to install new equipment and modernize the Louisville Assembly Plant, a move made to prepare for the launch of its new Escape and Lincoln Corsair models.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved $40 million in job-retention tax incentives to back the upgrades.
