Unilver Expands Plant in Covington, Adds 275 New Jobs

Unilever is investing $100 million to expand its plant in Covington, Tenn., and plans to add 275 new jobs as part of the expansion.

The Covington facility currently produces Slim-Fast® products and will now add ice cream and frozen novelties to its production line. The plant will produce items under the Breyers, Klondike, Good Humor and Popsicle brands.

Construction is set to begin on the Covington facility during the first quarter
of 2010.
