Dean Dorton director wins Bloomberg Tax’s State Tax Author of the Year award

Erica Horn received the award for her work on the Kentucky Chapter of the Corporate Income Tax Navigator.

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Erica Horn, Dean Dorton associate director of tax services, was recognized as Bloomberg Tax’s State Tax Author of the Year for Direct Taxes Dec. 16 in New York City.

Horn, who has more than 30 years of state and local tax expertise, received the award for her work on the Kentucky Chapter of the Corporate Income Tax Navigator.

“It’s an honor to receive this award and it’s great to know that your work is making a difference and being recognized,” said Horn.

Each year, Bloomberg Tax recognizes select authors in the tax and accounting community who have made a substantial contribution to the field, and showcased the overall strength of the entire tax management product range.

Horn is the first to win Bloomberg Tax’s State Tax Author of the Year for Direct Taxes at Dean Dorton since the awards inception.

Horn, with Dean Dorton since 2017, has experience working in a wide range of industries including construction, equine, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution. She specializes in sales and use tax along with state and local taxes throughout the U.S.

As part of the award, Horn will be featured in the 2020 Bloomberg Tax & Accounting Calendar.
