Beshear makes appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Gov. Andy Beshear made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Harrison Armstrong and Tonya Lemaster as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 21st Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky, to serve terms expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

  • Harrison Armstrong of Clearfield, is a Vice President at R.J. Corman Railroad Group. He replaces Norman Lansdale, whose term has expired.
  • Tonya Lemaster of Morehead replaces Sherry Adkins, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Charles O’Connor and Frank Jones as members of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.

  • Charles Francis O’Connor of Versailles, is the Director of Sales at Coolmore Stud. He replaces Kiki Courtelis, who has resigned. Mr. O’Connor shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 27, 2020.
  • Frank L. Jones of Louisville, is the President of Recreonics Inc. He replaces James Gates, who has resigned. Mr. Jones shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 27, 2022.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Robert Meythaler and Belinda Abell as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 6th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky, to serve terms expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

  • Robert Meythaler of Owensboro replaces Roderick Searcy, whose term has expired.
  • Belinda Abell of Owensboro, is a marketing professional at Impact Marketing Consultants. She replaces Hugh Bosley, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed John Wilson, James Draffen, Jr., LeAnne Lynch, and Sammy Pittman as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 42nd Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.

  • John Wilson of Murray, is the Chief Operating Officer at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. He replaces William Fandrich, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.
  • James L. Draffen, Jr. of Calvert City, is the Corporate President at Draffen Mart, Inc. He replaces Patricia Lassiter, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.
  • LeAnne Lynch of Benton, is an entrepreneur. She replaces Janice Hensley, whose term has expired. She shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Sammy Pittman of Murray, is a banker at Community Financial Services Bank. He replaces Katie Conder, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Edward Girdler and Mary Ann Johnson as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 28th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky, to serve terms expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

  • Edward Girdler of Somerset replaces Robin Citak, whose term has expired.
  • Mary Ann Johnson of Burnside replaces Paul Playforth, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Denise Finley and Roszalyn Akins as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 22nd Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky, to serve terms expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

  • Denise L. Finley of Lexington replaces John McIntosh, whose term has expired.
  • Roszalyn M. Akins of Lexington, is an educator at FCPS. She replaces Paul Nesbitt whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Michael McGhee and Chuck Coldiron as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 6th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky, to serve terms expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

  • Michael W. McGhee of Elkton, is a civil engineer at McGhee Engineering, Inc. He replaces Mary Corbett whose term has expired.
  • Chuck J. Coldiron of Somerset, is the owner of Hyundai of Somerset. He replaces Lawrence Robinson, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Deanna Ashby, Marci Cox, Andrew Belcher, and Jenny Sewell as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 4thJudicial Circuit and District of Kentucky.

  • Deanna Ashby of Hanson, is a superintendent at Hopkins County Schools. She replaces Larry Oglesby, whose term has expired. She shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.
  • Marci Cox of Madisonville, is the Director of Child Nutrition for the Hopkins County Board of Education. She replaces Carol Ligon, whose terms has expired. She shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.
  • Andrew Belcher of Madisonville, is an Educational Administrator at the Hopkins County Board of Education. He replaces Cris Crowley, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Jenny Lynn Sewell of Dawson Springs, is a funeral director at Beshear Funeral Home. She replaces Glenda Kyle, whose term has expired. She shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2024.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Sue Dabney, Jim Sidebottom, and Michael McCain as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 11thJudicial Circuit and District of Kentucky. He has also reappointed Blanche Minor as a member.

  • Sue W. Dabney of Mannsville replaces Shelia Newcomb, whose term has expired. She shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.
  • Paul “Jim” Sidebottom of Greensburg, is a farmer at Sidebottom Farm. He replaces Randall Sullivan, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Michael W. McCain, Jr. of Springfield, is a farmer. He replaces David Carney, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Blanche Minor of Mannsville is reappointed and shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2022.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the Honorable Ellie Kerstetter to the office of Circuit Judge in the Family Court for the 30th Judicial Circuit, Division 3, of Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Kristy Young, representing the American Cancer Society, as a member of the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council, to serve a term expiring on June 27, 2022.

  • Kristy Young of Lexington, is the Government Relations Director at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Alston Kerr as chair of the Kentucky Horse Park Commission, to serve a term expiring on May 24, 2022.

  • Alston Kerr of Lexington, is an equestrian farmer at Turkey Ridge Farm. She replaces Nancy Cox, who has resigned. She shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending May 24, 2022.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Craig Aguiar, Terri Connolly, and Gerina Whethers as members of the Waterfront Development Corporation Board of Directors.

  • Craig Aguiar of Shelbyville, is an attorney at the Aguiar Law Office. He replaces Jon Meyer, whose term has expired. He shall serve for a term expiring July 31, 2020.
  • Terri Connolly of Louisville replaces Carter Vance, who has resigned. She shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending July 31, 2022.
  • Gerina Whethers of Louisville, is the Secretary of the Personnel Cabinet for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She replaces Scott Brinkman, whose term has expired. Secretary Whethers shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Leslie Geoghegan and Deepak Tiwari as members of the Louisville Arena Authority, Inc., to serve terms expiring Jan. 9, 2024.

  • Leslie Geoghegan of Louisville replaces Jeffrey Spalding, whose term has expired.
  • Deepak Tiwari of Prospect, is the owner of Subway franchises. He replaces Patrick Reeves, whose term has expired.
