Rabbit Hole Distillery founder to share story behind company’s acquisition at Venture Connectors Feb. 5

Kaveh Zamanian

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — On Wednesday, Feb. 5, Venture Connectors will feature Rabbit Hole Distillery founder and CEO Kaveh Zamanian, who will discuss his company’s recent exit. French spirits brand Pernod Ricard purchased a majority share of the Louisville-based distiller in June 2019. Zamanian will share why he believes the investment both recognizes his creative vision and supports the potential for product innovation.

Zamanian left a successful career as an academic and clinical psychologist to pursue his love of bourbon in 2012. He learned the art of bourbon making from some of the industry’s most respected master distillers and developed award-winning recipes of bourbon and rye whiskies. Rabbit Hole’s distillery on Jefferson Street opened in 2018 in the heart of NuLu, and was recently named an architectural icon of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. As part of the strategic partnership with Pernod Ricard, Zamanian kept the majority of his shares in Rabbit Hole and continues to operate the company.
