National poll ranks Beshear No. 1 for handling of COVID-19 crisis

Kentuckians are solidly behind Gov. Andy Beshear’s efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus, according to an online survey hosted on the U.S. News & World Report website.

The poll asked participants for their perspective on the pandemic and how state and national officials were handling the issue.

Beshear ranked No. 1 in the nation, with 86% of Kentuckians rating his response as good or excellent.

The governor has been holding briefings at 5 p.m. each day to keep citizens up to date on where the state stands in the fight against COVID-19.

His calm approach in dealing with the extreme difficulties created by the pandemic has received widespread acclaim, as evidenced by the U.S. News survey.
