OWENSBORO, Ky. (Feb. 1, 2012) — First Security Inc., the bank holding company for First Security Bank of Owensboro announced the recent promotion of Michael F. Beckwith to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for both the bank and the holding company.
Previously, Beckwith was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the two companies since January of 2009. Beckwith was formerly Senior V. P. and Managing Director of Finance for Republic Bancorp Inc., a $3 billion bank holding company headquartered in Louisville. Previous experience also included the position of senior manager with Crowe Chizek and Company, LLC in the Financial Institutions Group.
A graduate of Butler University, Beckwith received his B.S. in Accounting. Additionally, Beckwith has his CPA designation and is a member of the AICPA as well as the Kentucky CPA Society.
Married to the former Tara Rodney of Owensboro, she and Mike have two sons, Jackson and Ryan.
