Kentucky American Water names director of government affairs

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kentucky American Water has announced the appointment of Adam Caswell as director of government affairs.

In this role Caswell will lead the company’s government affairs and business development activities across the commonwealth, to include developing strategic relationships with government officials, monitoring and providing input on public policy affecting the water and wastewater industries, and with special emphasis on identifying business growth opportunities. He will report to Nick Rowe, president of Kentucky American Water and senior vice president of American Water’s Southeast Division.

A native of Paris, Ky., Caswell most recently served as the assistant vice president for government, corporate and foundation engagement at Northern Kentucky University, where he led efforts to develop partnerships and strategic relationships with businesses and government officials to advance the mission of NKU.

Before joining NKU he served as vice president of public affairs and communications for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, president of the Campbell County Economic Progress Authority and as a senior aide to the chief of staff for Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear.

Caswell is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University, Leadership Northern Kentucky and Leadership Kentucky. He lives in Fort Thomas, Ky., with his wife Rachel and their children.
