SKO promotes eight attorneys to firm member

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC (SKO) is pleased to announce that eight of its attorneys have been promoted to members of the firm after previously serving as associates.

Kathryn Beck, Will Cartwright, Kaitlyn George, Chad Hardin, Lindsey Howard, Emily Mattingly, Amy Miles and Joel Nagle each work in different SKO offices and have their own practice specialty areas.

Kathryn S. Beck – Louisville

Kathryn is an Associate in the Trust & Estate Litigation practice, but also plays an important part of the Business Litigation, Business Torts, Trust & Estate, and Trial & Insurance Services groups. While working with local and corporate clients in both Kentucky and Indiana, Kathryn handles complex litigation matters at both the trail court and appellate levels. Kathryn earned her J.D. at the University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law, where she served as the president of the Health Law Society.

 

William E. Cartwright – Evansville

Will is an Associate of the firm’s Business Services group. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and lending, and real estate. Will is well versed in the legal nuances of business transactions, but also examines his clients’ cases and needs through a broad societal lens. He earned his J.D. at the University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law, where he served as the Vice President of the Equine Law Society.

 

Kaitlyn J. George – Louisville

Kaitlyn is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate Finance & Lending, Business Services and Real Estate practice groups. She provides counsel to clients within the commercial real estate and financial services industry. Kaitlyn focuses on advising national, regional and community banks on credit facility origination, and in structuring and negotiating out-of-court workouts. She was named a Rising Star by Kentucky Super Lawyers® in 2021.

 

Chad M. Hardin – Louisville

Chad is an Associate that practices with the Business Litigation and Torts, and Trial & Insurance Services groups. He has made oral arguments before the Kentucky Court of Appeals and has

counseled clients in both trial and appellate cases. Chad adopts a goal-orientated and problem-solving approach that’s complimented by a passion for delivering the best possible representation. Chad was named a Rising Star by Kentucky Super Lawyers® from 2018-present and also a Ones to Watch list by Best Lawyers in America® in 2021.

Lindsey L. Howard – Louisville

Lindsey is an Associate in four of the firm’s practice groups – Business Litigation, Business Torts, Tort, Trial & Insurance, and Environmental Litigation – concentrating mainly on business and commercial disputes. She has particular expertise in matters of corporate governance, contract and fraud claims, insurance defense, complex commercial litigation, fiduciary obligations and environmental law. She was named a Rising Star by Kentucky Super Lawyers® in 2019-present.

 

Emily P. Mattingly – Louisville

Emily is an Associate in the Business Litigation practice group. She represents a wide range of companies, from locally owned businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. Emily also acts as in-house counsel to businesses providing guidance on the review of contracts, master service agreements, real estate leases and other legal documentation. She was named a Rising Star by Kentucky Super Lawyers® in 2021.

 

Amy L. Miles – Louisville

Amy is an Associate in the Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits practice. She represents a variety of national, regional and local employers, from franchised auto dealerships to health care organizations. She counsels businesses and organizations on how to navigate complex statutes and regulations, which can create confusion around an employer’s legal obligation to their employees.

 

Joel T. Nagle – Indianapolis

Joel serves as Counsel to the Firm. He represents clients in various commercial litigation matters, ranging from administrative and regulatory proceedings to contract dispute negotiations. Joel also counsels businesses and franchised automobile dealers across the state on maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including advertising law, consumer credit and consumer protection laws. He was named a Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers® from 2010-2019.
