Mulkins joins Advantage Kentucky Alliance as client development manager

LEXINGTON, Ky. —  World Trade Center Kentucky (WTC-KY) President Sherry Mulkins has accepted the role of client development manager with Advantage Kentucky Alliance (AKA). Mulkins will begin her new position at AKA in April after a long and successful career with the WTC-KY.

WTC-KY’s training and education offerings and revenue from these programs doubled during Mulkins’ eight-year tenure. Program development highlights include the International Trade Certification, which is a regionally recognized training with over 400graduates from across Kentucky. During the same period, The World Trade Center team secured partnerships with the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics and the University of Louisville to design and provide international training and certification to its MBA candidates.

Sherry also was key in organizing international business missions in partnership with the Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development, Kentucky Department of Agriculture, Kentucky Distillers Association, US Commercial Service along with many key players in the Commonwealth such as LBX Company, Hitachi Automotive and Alltech. She founded and led Kentucky’s first Women’s International Business Conference, eleVate, along with the WTC-KY Global Executive Forum.
