Kiser named chairman of Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Petroleum Marketers Association (KPMA) welcomed Scott Kiser of Woodford Oil Co. as the 75th Chairman at its Annual Meeting on April 16. Kiser is executive vice president for Woodford Oil Co. in Ashland, Ky., serving previously as KPMA vice chairman from 2019-21. Prior to that he served as KPMA treasurer and a board member.

“[Scott Kiser] is well respected by our membership, has served with distinction on the KPMA Executive Committee, and literally grew up in our industry as a petroleum marketer his entire career,” said KPMA Executive Director Brian Clark. “Scott’s business acumen, commitment to the industry and enthusiasm for the KPMA are just a few of things we appreciate about him as a leader.”

Kiser follows KPMA Chairman Michael Smith II of Paducah-based Midwest Terminal, whose time in leadership is noteworthy for the debut of the association’s EPIC leadership development program and, most importantly, helping navigate the industry’s path through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kiser has worked in the petroleum industry his entire career. A longtime KPMA member, he looks forward to networking with other members and serving in his new leadership role.

“This industry has been a part of my family for more than 80 years, and I am proud to represent the KPMA,” he said. “During the pandemic, KPMA continued to represent, advocate and educate our members very well to guide those challenges we were all faced with. The last pillar – networking – became a challenge, and I excited to see events and travel pickup as we move through the year and into 2022.”
