MOUNT STERLING, Ky. — Sondra Hackworth has been named director of human resources for Traditional Bank. The bank board of directors approved her promotion during its March meeting.

As director of human resources, Hackworth will manage departmental staff and provide insights to the executive team related to benefits, compensation and people management. She comes into the role with 27 years of experience at Traditional Bank, including 17 years in HR.

Hackworth is a graduate of Morehead State University and the Human Resources Management School at the University of Wisconsin. She has also achieved a professional certification from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

“Sondra’s human resources expertise has never been more vital to our organization than it has been these past 14 months,” Traditional Bank CEO Andy Baker said. “Her steadfast dedication to our people, and our bank, during the pandemic, paved the way for this well-deserved promotion.”

Outside the bank she enjoys giving back to her local community and regularly volunteers time in support of organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass, United Way of the Bluegrass, Relay for Life and Gateway Children’s Services.

“The thing I love most about being a part of our bank’s leadership team is that we are all in agreement that our people are what matter most. That makes the work I do very gratifying,” Hackworth said.

Founded and headquartered in Mount Sterling, Ky., Traditional Bank is a locally-owned, community bank with assets of approximately $2 billion and 16 banking centers in six Kentucky counties. Learn more at www.traditionalbank.com/about-us.
