Bell will be the only American serving on the GALA board. She joins peers from Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Canada, Brazil and Germany.

The Globalization and Localization Association is the largest global non-profit association within the language industry, providing resources, education and research for companies working with translation services, language technology, and content localization. GALA member companies are vendors and buyers of language services and technologies. They deploy multilingual strategies to take content and products to markets around the world.

Bell was elected because she is well known as an industry thought leader and change-maker, having served on both the Obama Administration’s White House Business Roundtable and on the Leadership Council for the Association of Language Companies. She also writes the popular monthly column “Micro/Macro” for MultiLingual Magazine.
