Kentucky American Water Company’s contractors are actively constructing a new treatment plant, intake, booster pump station, tank and 30.1-mile pipeline to serve Central Kentucky. The $162 million project is designed to deliver up to 20 million gallons of treated water per day. The completion date is summer 2010.
The team of contractors on the project includes:

• Reynolds-Rogers LLC of Orleans, Ind. – water treatment plant and intake in Owen County

• Garney Companies of Kansas City, Mo. – underground treated water transmission lines in Owen, Franklin, Scott and Fayette counties

• PAE & Associates of Brookfield, Ohio – booster pump station and tank in Franklin County

• American Cast Iron Pipe Co. of Birmingham, Ala. – ductile iron pipe supplier for the 30.1-mile line.
