RéVive Skincare, a Louisville-based premium skincare line, has been sold to Gurwitch Products for approximately $50 million.

Houston-based Gurwitch is a luxury cosmetics and skincare company that develops, manufactures and markets cosmetics under the Laura Mercier name.

“I have focused my career on developing surgery-free solutions to the signs of aging and believe RéVive will greatly benefit from joining Gurwitch, a beauty industry leader in product development and retailer service,” said Dr. Gregory Bays Brown, founder of RéVive. Brown noted that his company had reached the point where industry experience from a corporate standpoint was needed and said the acquisition provides an avenue to increase international distribution and product innovation.

“We are excited to add the RéVive skincare line and look forward to lending Gurwitch’s resources to further RéVive’s success and growth,” said Sharon Collier, president and CEO of Gurwitch Products. “Its signature product line, RéVive, uses EGF – Nobel Prize-winning technology – to create a high-end suite of skincare products that are among the most coveted in the industry.”

As a result of the acquisition, RéVive’s corporate offices will move to New York, as will 12 of the company’s 15 Louisville staff members. Brown will continue to play an active role in the development and marketing of RéVive as chief of creative services and will divide his time between New York and Louisville. Administrative and back office functions will be moved to the Laura Mercier offices in Houston.
