Technology giant EDS has announced plans to locate its national software solution center in West Lafayette, Ind., a community of about 60,000 that is home to Purdue University. The center will create more than 200 software engineer and business analyst positions by 2010.
EDS has already inked a lease for 13,000 s.f. of office space in the Purdue Research Park, home to the largest university-affiliated business incubator complex in the nation. Some 140 businesses – more than 90 of which are high-tech companies – are located in the park, employing more than 2,900 people.
EDS, which currently employs more than 1,000 professionals in Indiana, will develop technology solutions for its commercial and government health care clients around the world at the new center.
